Free Public Talk: Cultivating Creativity

Description:

Come to Lake Harriet Spiritual Community on Sunday, October 23rd for an inspiring talk about cultivating creativity.
Let’s talk about what our childhood conditioning has taught us about creativity, and whether those teachings hold us back from our birthright to create. Remember why and for whom we create—you may be surprised just how powerful small, creative acts can be! Come in person, or follow along live on the Lake Harriet Community Center Facebook page!

Free Public Talk: Flowing to Grow

Description:

From an Ayurvedic perspective, when we talk about "going with the flow,” we’re talking about the gifts of the element of water. But did you know that the element of water is also behind our ability to continue to grow, despite all odds? Like the dandelion growing out from concrete, we humans are capable of extraordinary things. But we can’t always get there on willpower alone. Sometimes, we have to flow to grow.

In this talk, Keri will share how the element of water—often seen as the element of softness and receptivity, is also the element behind our buoyancy and springiness in life, allowing us to move through hardships without becoming hardened ourselves. She will close by offering tips for nurturing the water element in our lives and our bodies.

Free public talk: Finding Sacred Time

Where: Lake Harriet Spiritual Community

Description:

We’ve all heard the phrase “be here now.” We know that this “now” is the key to unlocking our intuition and accessing divine inspiration. But, often, we're trying to locate this "now" within the linear stretch of chronological time (chronos).

The "now" we're seeking does not live in chronos time. It lives in "kairos" time, a Greek word that means "opportune." Rather than a horizontal stretch of time with defined beginning and end points, kairos time is vertical, and represents the eternal, or infinity. This is sacred time. This is where the “now” lives.

In this talk, Keri will share various ways in which you can "be here now" by opening yourself up to kairos time.
